While some wineries import grapes from other western states, some of Montana’s wineries grow their own grapes.  Each winery crafts its own unique wines and meads here.  As you travel through Big Sky Country, stop for a tour and a taste of these unique wines.

Hidden Legend Winery, Victor

This small town on the western Montana border in Glacier Country is located between two mountain ranges and the Bitterroot River.  The winery produces wines grown in the Skalkaho Valley, and beside Flathead Lake from native North American grapes.  They also make a special Dandelion Wine. Their wines have won bronze medals from the Indy International Wine Competition.  Take a tour of the winery, sample the wines, and don’t miss the mead tasting room. https://www.hiddenlegendwinery.com/blog/

They are members of Harvest Hosts, a listing of wineries, farms, and Agri-tourism sites where you can park a self-contained RVs free. The winery is open year-round and offers free wine tastings, tours and visits with the winemaker when available.  https://www.tongueriverwinery.com/

Mission Mountain Winery, Dayton

Located on the western shore of Flathead Lake in Glacier Country, Mission Mountain Winery crafts award-winning Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Marquette and small amounts of Riesling, Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer from their own vineyards as well as other vineyards in Washington.  The tasting room is open May through October.  http://www.missionmountainwinery.com/

Yellowstone Cellars and Winery, Billings
